About Me
Background
Growing up between Texas and Pennsylvania, I earned a BS and MS in Biology at the University of Texas at San Antonio, working with George Perry. My thesis focused on using electron microscopic examination of neuronal mitochondrial degeneration in Alzheimer’s disease to detect improvements associated with dietary selective mitochondrial antioxidants acetyl carnitine and lipoic acid. In addition to research, I managed the transmission electron microscope core facility at the University of Texas at San Antonio for two years, and founded and organized the San Antonio Science Cafe.
Interests
I love to read. Time permitting, I design and maintain websites for various people and organizations. Also, I enjoy jamming with friends on the guitar.

Scientific Lineage via Neurotree.org – It can be traced directly to many interesting scientists, including Galileo Galilei:
Galileo Galilei
(1564–1642), Italian astronomer and physicist. He discovered the constancy of a pendulum’s swing, formulated the law of uniform acceleration of falling bodies, and described the parabolic trajectory of projectiles. He applied the telescope to astronomy and observed craters on the moon, sunspots, Jupiter’s moons, and the phases of Venus. (Oxford American Dictionary)
